The first taste of the new season
This week we are thrilled to welcome our brand new selection of 2023 Uji Matcha. We are extremely proud of the catalog of teas we have put together - the hard work of some of the most celebrated producers working in Uji today. With a total of 8 unique single cultivar Matcha - our aim is to share not only the charm of a single varietal of tea, and a specific plot of land - but also the collective mindset of the farmer and the literal thousands of choices that went into to crafting the tea. We were lucky to visit Uji during harvest - and actually participate in a (12hr) day of tezumi hand harvesting. As we welcome the teas, we wanted to share a photo journal of our time at origin (both in April and September of 2023).
